Class visits provide a glimpse into academic life at Olivet. Volunteer tour guides can answer questions about academics and other student-related issues when available. Appointments are necessary.
Visits with faculty and staff members are available, and are especially useful to students who have a specific question. The Office of Admissions can recommend a representative who is knowledgeable about specific interests upon request. For all faculty and staff visits, please contact the Office of Admissions to make reservations before visiting the campus.

A: Guest housing on campus is limited as Olivet cannot guarantee availability. Requests for overnight stays should be submitted in advance. Visitors may opt to make hotel reservations in Temecula, CA or Palm Springs, CA.
Olivet University Riverside Campus is located in a beautiful natural setting at the outskirts of San Bernardino National Forest. The neighbouring Los Angeles, San Diego and Palm Springs metropolitan areas offer a wide range of cultural, academic, and athletic events. Outdoors recreation in uniquely diverse and stunningly beautiful settings is available to students and visitors alike. Riverside County and its surrounding metropolises are filled with first class cultural events, beautiful countryside, and many more unique experiences. Take in a concert at the L.A. Philharmonic, shop The River at Rancho Mirage, enjoy over 130 rare, threatened, or endangered desert plant species at “The Living Desert,” or go mountain biking with some friends at Thomas Mountain.
Visitors flying in are advised to either use Palm Springs International, San Diego International, or Orange County John Wayne Airports for shorter car travel times to campus upon arrival. LAX airport typically offers cheaper international flight tickets, but depending on traffic at the time of arrival the ride to campus can take significantly longer.
Visitors driving to campus from Temecula take highway 79 S and CA-371 to Cary Road. Then continue on Cary Road to your destination.
Visitors driving to campus from Palm Springs International Airport take El Cielo Rd to E Palm Canyon Dr. Then take CA-74 W to CA-371 W and continue on CA-371 W till Cary Rd on which you continue until your destination.

The closest hotels are located at Temecula or Palm Desert. When staying at one of these, please consider your commuting time to campus the next morning.
There are over 40 Wineries in Temecula spread over its 35,000 beautiful acres of rolling hills and vineyards. There are many tours available.
Temecula Old Town with it’s old west ambiance, has numerous restaurants, antique dealers, shops, museums and hosts the weekly Temecula farmer’s market. Every spring, Old Town draws thousands of visitors to its Western Days weekend for gun fights, skits, music and the popular Chili Cook Off.
Palm Springs is the most popular golf place in California! Enjoy playing golf in Palm Springs with beautiful scenery.
In this Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, you can enjoy breathtaking desert scenery at the 8,516 ft. high and hiking at the San Jacinto mountain at the same time.
Located less than one and half hour from our campus, Joshua Tree National Park has beautiful scenery at the point where the Mojave and the Colorado desert meet.
San Diego Sea World is a marine theme park which provides variety of rides, shows, animal habitats, etc. This is a great leisure place where people in all ages can spend their free time.
In few hours of time, you can enjoy Los Angeles city and also Los Angeles Philharmonic which is one of the world’s famous orchestra.
Living Desert Zoo and Gardens, formerly the Living Desert Museum, is a public desert botanical garden and a zoo located in Palm Desert. Over 1,000 acres of desert ecosystem featuring a bighorn sheep enclosure & small animal exhibits.
Surrounded by the San Bernardino National Forest, Big Bear Lake is the largest recreation lake in Southern California. Diverse recreational activities are available in this lake including fishing, skiing, hiking, mountain biking, etc.
At the top of Palomar mountain which is located 30 minutes from our campus Palomar Observatory is located. Palomar Observatory provides self-guided tour although it is an active research observatory.
In few hours of driving, you can reach to the finest beaches in California like Laguna, Huntington, or Newport beach.
You can visit the place of origin of the Azusa Street Revival an important Pentecostal revival in early 20th century.
Student attending the Olivet University San Francisco Campus are minutes and hours away from world class destinations. Nationally protected beaches and coastline, alpine snow suitable for skiing and snowboarding near beautiful Lake Tahoe, and hundreds of miles of hiking trails traversed by John Muir himself, await just outside the doorstep of our campus. For students who prefer the urban environment, we are located a half hour away from downtown San Francisco. After a short trip over the world-famous Golden Gate Bridge, students have access to a wide range of cultural and social activities. We are situated in a calm suburban environment, with one of the world’s bustling metropolises next-door, meaning that there is something for everyone who studies with us. Other nearby points of interest include: the Marin Headlands, the Muir Woods National Monument, Mount Tamalpais State Park, Alcatraz Island, and Point Reyes National Seashore.
